What we believe -

We believe in the authority of Scripture consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired and infallible Word of God in the original manuscript.

We believe in the One holy and living God who reveals Himself at the Trinity. God is one as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, not three gods, but one God in three persons. The three persons as one God equally worth of adoration, worship, and praise.

We believe Jesus Christ is both God and man, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

We believe in the Holy Spirit who proceeds from and is one in essence with the Father and Son.

We believe God created man and woman in his own image, innocent, morally free, and responsible to choose between good and evil, right and wrong.

We believe, as a result of Adam and Eve’s choice (the fall) in the Garden of Eden, all men and women are born in sin and that the wages of sin is death. The shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection are the only means of justification and salvation for all who believe in and receive Jesus Christ as their savior. Except a person be born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

We believe we are never accounted righteous before God through our own works, but that through repentance and faith alone in Jesus Christ we are justified before God.

We believe in the Second Coming of Christ. We believe the return of Christ is certain and may occur at any moment, although it is not given for us to know the time.

We believe the Church of Jesus Christ is not a building, but a body of believers. The Church is created by God with Jesus Christ as its Lord and Head. The Holy Spirit is its life and power.

We believe in Missions and Evangelism. At the heart of the Gospel is the mandate to “Go into all the World and preach the gospel.”

We believe in the eternal judgment of reward for the saved through faith in Jesus Christ and the eternal judgment of damnation for the unbelievers.

We believe that civil government and the officers thereof should be prayed for on a regular basis. “Pray for those in authority over you.”

God has ordained the family as the traditional institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption.

Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in a covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and the woman in the marriage framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and the means for procreation of the human race.

Children, from the moment of conception are a heritage from the Lord. Parents are to demonstrate to the children God’s pattern for marriage. Parents are to teach their children spiritual and moral values and lead them, through consistent lifestyle example and loving discipline, to make choices based on biblical truth. Children are to honor and obey their parents.
